Aminita Francis
Aminita is a highly skilled and versatile actor, singer, beatboxer and songwriter.
Aminita recently played the lead role of Henrietta Lacks in FAMILY TREE for Actors Touring Company, where she was nominated for an Offie award for Lead Performance in a Play and Black British Theatre Award for Best Female Lead Actor in a Play.
Most notably, Aminita wrote and starred in the BAC Beatbox Academy’s smash hit show FRANKENSTEIN: HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER which topped many critic’s lists as the best show at the Edinburgh Fringe, before travelling to Australia to the Adelaide Festival and touring the UK. The show was then reimagined as a film and shown on-screen for BBC4.
Her many other onstage credits in theatre productions and musicals include work with The Roundhouse, Theatre Royal, Stratford East, Lyric Hammersmith, Liverpool Everyman, Camden People’s Theatre, Wildworks and Theatre Royal Bath.
